Add freshly squeeze lemon juice with one teaspoon rose oil. Use a cotton ball to slowly dab the liquid on your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it afterwards.

Yogurt: Aside from being a popular healthy food, it contains lactic acid that has bleaching properties. This can be used for all skin types. Simply apply yogurt on your skin, and leave it for a few minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water. Also, you can mix yogurt with one-half tablespoon of honey.

AlmondsAlmonds: One can make a skin whitening preparation by using almond and milk pack. Before you start your day, take time to soak four to five almonds in milk and add four to five saffron strands.

Then at night time, peel the almonds and use the same milk and saffron strands to make a smooth fine paste using a mixer. Apply the paste on your face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash it off with cold water in the morning.

Gram Flour: This is one of the best ingredients for lightening your skin. It keeps your skin healthy by removing excess oil, and locking moisture in. All you need to do is mix gram flour in small amount of water or rose water. Once it becomes a thick paste, apply it on your face and you can include your hands and legs as well. Leave it on your skin until the paste becomes dry, and wash it with water.

tomatoes for skin lighteningTomato: This is rich in Vitamin C. Grate one large tomato, add two to three drops of lemon juice and a few drops of rose water. Mix everything well. After which, apply the mixture on your face and neck. Wait for 15 minutes before rinsing it.

Honey: This has both bleaching and moisturizing properties. In addition, it has antibacterial agents that can deal with acne scars and age spots. Apply pure honey on your face, and rinse it with lukewarm water after a few minutes. In doing so, this removes dead skin cells effectively. Also, you can mix it with one teaspoon of lemon juice, one tablespoon of powdered milk, and one-half teaspoon of almond oil.

Aloe Vera Gel: Naturally, Aloe Vera can battle hyperpigmentation. It can also restore your skin’s natural color. It regenerates new skin cells, and rebuild damaged tissues. If you have this plant in your backyard, simply use its gel and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse with water.

Don’t get easily disappointed if you haven’t noticed any results after a week of using the lightening regimen of your choice. More or less, give it a whole month.

Make sure you eat healthy foods, as well. Skin lightening is not just done topically, but it also starts from the inside out. There are many health benefits of eating nutritious foods, and one of it is keeping your skin glowing and healthy. Other food wonders that are good for your skin include avocados, soy beans and dark chocolates. This is the best time to add these healthy foods to your grocery list.
